Lois Who?

Tentatively, I tiptoed into the art world back in 2005.  I had decided to include an art therapy exercise in a workshop I was giving.  Everyone, including myself, enjoyed it immensely. So I skipped off the following week to the art supply store to load up on more canvasses, brushes and paint to further explore the wonderous world of colours and textures.

I lose and find myself through my art work.  These many years later, painting allows me to take more risks, make mistakes and let go of control.  My whole body always lets me know when I’m trying too hard, judging or forcing the creative process ’cause I get all tied up in knots and all bent out of shape.  This is when I call it my, “art swear-apy.”

Are you one of those who insist that you haven’t got a creative bone in your body?

Playing in the creative sandbox, painting, writing and dancing feed my soul and air out the confines of my busy, busy mind.  I’m sure it makes me bolder, gutsier and more adventurous in all aspects of my life. I’m delighted to announce that my creative world has expanded beyond playing with adults into working with special needs children, too.  Who knew?  How lucky am I?

My creative workshops provide a portal to the wild and wonderful possibilities that lie within everyone.  Even you. Are you one of those who insist that you haven’t got a creative bone in your body?  Come see me!

I live in the Whitby area with my husband John on a beautiful property aptly named, “Sweet Paradise.”
